Add a Phone or Replace All Telephone Service
The small and simple telephone adaptor (ATA) is a small and flexible device. You can simply add a LV Digital Phone as an extra line to save on telephone charges or you can use it to replace the service on an entire home. Some examples appear below.
Example 1: Add a LV Digital Phone near your single computer.
The ATA is inserted between your cable modem and your computer. Plug in an ordinary telephone and you are ready to go. |
Example 2: Add a LV Digital Phone in a multiple-computer home.
If you have a wired or wireless router, you can insert the ATA into the path between your router and any computer.
|
Example 3: Replace your entire telephone service.
Use the exising telephone home wiring as-is by disconnecting or unplugging the service at the telephone demarkation point (a protection block or telephone service box).
Plug the telephone connection from your ATA into a nearby telephone jack.Use a telephone splitter if necessary to connect a telephone extension at this point. |
